Dorit is a Ph.D student in the Zvi Meitar Center for Advanced Legal Studies since February 2014. Her research will deal with the interface between law and society, and will focus on judicial decision-making, the establishment of public opinion, and the relation between the judicial decision-making to the public opinion, in an empirical and normative research.
Dorit obtained her LL.B. (magna cum laude) and an additional B.A in Political science (magna cum laude) from Tel-Aviv University (2008). Dorit internship was for Prof. David Libai, the former justice minister and minister of the interior, and Prof. Kenneth Mann, Israel's first Chief Public Defender. Dorit continued working in Libai & Mann office as a lawyer after her internship. She continued her studies in the The Zvi Meitar Center for Advanced Legal Studies in Tel Aviv University and obtained LL.M. with thesis "Corruption and Human Rights" (magna cum laude) (2013). During her first and second degree Dorit was a teaching assistant and research assistant in several courses, and she was also, among other things, a student editor of the book "Does the Law Matter". Nowadays Dorit works as a lawyer in the private sector, parallel to her Ph.D studies.
